A Hollyoaks star has confirmed his split from a former Love Island contestant just one day after she announced that they are expecting a child together.
Yesterday, we reported that Laura Anderson had shared the news of her pregnancy in a video on Instagram, tagging soap actor Gary Lucy who is soon to become a dad for the fifth time.
The video included clips of her baby bump, pregnancy tests and images from her scan.
She captioned the post: "Our hearts are full. Baby Lucy due Summer ‘23."
Messages of support soon began flooding in with thousands congratulating the pair on their happy news.
Lucy himself later commented on the post saying: “There she is.
“So very proud of you Mummy Bear.
“Cooking Baby Bear perfectly.”
Despite announcing that they are expecting a child together only one day ago, Lucy has since confirmed that they have ended things romantically.
He told The Sun: "I love Laura but we are no longer together. My main drive as always is to work together to co-parent our child.
“I look forward to the arrival of the new baby.”
Lucy, 41, and Anderson, 33, first got together when they both appeared on the popular E4 show, Celebs Go Dating.
