A singer-songwriter has wowed Celtic fans with her version of the 'Jota on the Wing' chant.

Ellie Dixon performed a cover of the popular fan song celebrating the Portuguese winger on BBC Radio 5 Live on Saturday and it has become an instant hit with Hoops supporters.

Sung along to the tune of Dragostea Din Tei by Moldovan Eurodance group O-Zone, Cambridge-born Ellie was amazed by the response from fans after singing it on the radio show.

One fan replied: "Absolutely outstanding you have a lot of new fans after this morning."

Another said: "You do realise you’ve just been adopted into The Celtic Family right?"

In reference to Sunday's Viaplay Cup final, another said: "Better be watching tomorrow, Ellie! Great cover!"

The singer responded: "I will absolutely tuning in!"
