A man has been rushed to hospital after a "serious assault" in the city centre.
The Glasgow Times understands this was a "stabbing".
The force was called to a disturbance on Gordon Street around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon.
A police cordon could be seen spanning Union Street and Gordon Street near Tesco Express.
A man was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary following the incident.
His condition is unknown.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
A Police Spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, police received a report of a disturbance in Gordon Street, resulting in one man being seriously assaulted.
"The man has been taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and enquiries are ongoing.”
