A WOMAN has died after a crash in Glasgow.

The 58-year-old pedestrian was struck by a Peugeot while she was walking along Dougrie Road in the city's Castlemilk.

She sadly died at the scene.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Wednesday, March 8.

The male driver of the Peugeot was not injured.

Cops are investigating the incident and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to get in touch. 

 

Constable Derek Niven of the Road Policing Unit in Glasgow said: “Although we have spoken to a number of people who stopped to help at the scene, we would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the crash.

"If you have any information that may assist our enquiries, for example any dash-cam footage, then please get in touch."
