Paranormal investigators claim to have sighted a ghost at a Glasgow bar.

Ghost hunters from Paranormal Supernatural Investigators Ireland (PSII) visited the Scotia Bar on Stockwell Street recently and claimed to have captured an image of a spirit that is said to haunt the pub.

Opened in 1792 and claiming to be Glasgow's oldest pub, the Scotia Bar is known for the ghost stories and legends associated with it.

Legend has it that the ghost of a barmaid - called the Green Lady due to the colour of her dress - has been reported to walk up and down the pub.

While the Green Lady is "rarely or never caught on camera", investigators claim that they have managed to take a photo which even shocked the bar staff.

They said: "On this preliminary investigation PSII after taking a few pictures captured an unbelievable shot.

"In a green hue which seemingly shows a woman smiling as if to say 'here I am, I have been waiting.'

"After viewing the image directly after it was captured the proprietor was flabbergasted and exclaimed that in all her years there had never seen an image like it.

"'Wow,' she said and showed it to another member of staff who was wearing the traditional kilt. Both were aghast at the female resemblance in the image."
