The opening date for a new restaurant opening in a Glasgow shopping centre has been revealed.

We previously reported that The Real Greek would be opening at Silverburn this year - the second of its venues in Scotland after one in Edinburgh.

And the eatery - which will replace Pizza Hut - has now been confirmed as opening on March 24.

A post shared by Silverburn on Thursday read: "Just over a week until The Real Greek opens their second Scottish restaurant right here at Silverburn on March 24!

"We can’t wait for a taste of fresh Mediterranean-inspired dishes like their hot and cold meze, flatbreads and souvlaki wraps."

The new restaurant comes as part of wider investment plans for Silverburn, with more new stores set to be added over the coming months.

Sunglass Hut and lingerie brand Victoria's Secret are already confirmed to open soon.

David Pierotti, general manager of Silverburn, said: “These stores represent a real coup for Silverburn.

“They offer something brand new for the centre and also complement our existing offer, giving people more choice and a better experience every time they visit.

“However, this is just the start, and we have lots of good news coming up this year. We cannot wait to share it with our guests, as we work to bring even more new names to Silverburn.”
