A good Samaritan has been praised for stopping to help a man as 'every other car drove by him'.
The individual was travelling in their car towards Asda in Coatbridge on Wednesday evening with their teenage daughter when they noticed a man lying on the road.
His shopping bag had emptied and the person said they were 'disgusted' that every other car drove by him, so they stopped to help.
They waited with the man, who they said did not want an ambulance or a taxi, until he was steady and went on his way.
The heartwarming story was shared on community group no1seems2care, and was flooded with replies from people.
One wrote: "Care and good manners are dying out, shame but very well done."
Another said: "Well done, saw this happen so many times, it's sad."
A third added: "I did the same for an elderly gent in the West End, everyone just drove past him. Turns out he had a stroke and lost his footing."
