A 'suspicious' break-in near Glasgow has sparked a police investigation.

The home on Rannoch Gardens in Bishopbriggs was broken into sometime between 6.45pm and 9.50pm on Wednesday, March 22.

The property "appears to have been searched" during the three-hour window, although "nothing was stolen".

Police now believe witnesses or motorists could hold the key to the intrusion.

Detective Constable Mark Soutter said: “An investigation into this incident is ongoing and I would urge anyone who could help to get in touch.

“In particular we would be keen to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles on Rannoch Gardens or Wester Cleddens Road in Bishopbriggs on Wednesday evening.

“We would also want to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the area and could have dashcam footage.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3849 of March 22, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
