Police have confirmed that sightings of a man resembling missing person Evan Reid were not him.
A number of people made calls to Police Scotland to report sightings of a man walking along the A737 around 7am on Sunday, March 26 between Howwood and Lochwinnoch.
The man was traced by police and determined not to be Evan.
The force thanked members of the public who reported the sighting as the search for the missing person continues.
Evan's last known whereabouts was on Inchinnan Road around 10.06pm on Saturday, March 25.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 4112 of Saturday, March 25.
