A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault in Glasgow. 

The incident occurred at Machrie Drive in Castlemilk around 8.34am this morning. 

The force have confirmed that there is no wider threat to community, but enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 16-year-old boy has been arrested following a serious assault which happened around 8.34am on Tuesday, April 18 in Machrie Drive in Glasgow.

"There was no wider threat to the community and enquiries are ongoing."
