Glasgow-based Partick Thistle has paid tribute to a fan who died after yesterday's game.

Marc Becci, known affectionately as Sketch, travelling home after last night's 2-2 fixture against Raith Rovers when he died.

The club shared a statement on their website.

It read: "All at Partick Thistle are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of supporter Marc Becci, better known as Sketch to his friends, who was travelling home after last night’s fixture against Raith Rovers.

The thoughts of everyone at the Club and of all Thistle supporters are with Marc’s family and friends at this desperately sad time."

Supporters were quick to leave their well-wishes in the comments.

One person said: "Lovely touch, thank you, Partick Thistle. A more genuine lovely man you could not meet. RIP my friend you’ll be sadly missed."

Another added: "Unbelievable. Tragic sad news. He was a great Thistle man. RIP mate."

A third comment read: "God bless you Mark and your family. I'm so sad to hear this. One of life's genuine good guys gone."
