A YELLOW weather warning has been issued for Glasgow.
According to the MET Office "heavy showers, with a chance of thunderstorms" are on their way this afternoon.
The alert is in place from 5pm this afternoon until 11pm tonight.
The weather is likely to cause disruptions, including flooding, damage to buildings, delays in train services and loss of power.
Forecasters are warning people to plan ahead and take care when travelling and to stay safe in case of thunderstorms and lightning.
Otherwise, the weather today is expected to be warm with temperatures around 13C to 16C.
