A man and his pup were mauled on Sunday afternoon by two dogs.
999 crews were called to Graham Drive in Milngavie around 2.45pm on Father's Day after the 63-year-old and his dog were reported injured.
The man and his dog were treated by Ambulance staff however their current condition is unknown.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.45pm on Sunday, June 18, police were called to a report of a 63-year-old man and dog injured by two dogs on Graham Drive, Milngavie.
“Police and Ambulance attended and the man was treated by Ambulance staff.
“The two dogs were traced and police enquiries are continuing.”
Ann Davie, Depute Chief Executive of East Dunbartonshire Council said, “We are aware that Police Scotland are investigating an incident.
"As this is potentially a criminal investigation, we are unable to comment further at this stage.”
