Emergency services are on the scene and roads are closed after a man was seriously injured in Glasgow.

Police and ambulance were called to a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, in the East End, following reports of a man who was hurt.

UPDATE: A 50-year-old man has been pronounced dead. Full story HERE. 

The road is shut between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road as officers carry out enquiries.

The man's condition is not known.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.05pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023, police were called to a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report that a man was seriously injured within.

"Officers and emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are continuing.

“Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road have been closed to pedestrians and motorists.

"There are no further details at this time."
