A Glasgow restaurant is inviting NHS staff to eat for free to celebrate 75 years of the service.
NHS workers can visit Gaucho steak house on Wednesday, July 5 to enjoy a meal on the house as a thank-you for their tireless hard work.
Guests can enjoy up to three courses from Gaucho’s set menu, which features ceviche starters, carbon-neutral steaks and decadent desserts.
Rare Restaurants, the group which owns Gaucho and M restaurants in the UK, has previously shown its support for NHS staff by providing over 1000 meals a week during the pandemic.
They also hosted a dinner of appreciation for over 300 nurses and doctors at one of their London restaurants.
Gaucho and M Restaurants' CEO and founder, Martin Williams, said: "At Gaucho and M Restaurants, we are delighted to celebrate NHS workers with this gesture.
"Restaurants, when at their best are an integral part of the community and thus we are proud to support our amazing NHS heroes and hope other restaurants will follow suit to do the same.”
Available for both bookings and walk-ins, free meals for NHS workers will be redeemable on July 5 by showing an NHS ID card, from 12pm to 6.30pm.
