Two teenage boys have been arrested after an 'incident' near a Tesco store.
Emergency services were called to a 'disturbance' near Tesco at Gallowhill Road in Lanark on Saturday night.
An eyewitness told the Glasgow Times that a "large emergency presence" including cops and an ambulance was at the store, and a police cordon was in place for "over an hour".
The force confirmed that they were called to the alleged incident.
A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital and two boys, aged 14 and 15, were arrested and charged in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.20pm on Saturday, July 1, 2023, we were called to a report of a disturbance in the Gallowhill Road area of Lanark.
“Emergency services attended and a 27-year-old man was taken to hospital to be assessed.
“Two male youths, aged 15 and 14, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and reports will be sent to the Children’s Reporter and Procurator Fiscal.”
