Subway operators have issued a warning to concert-goers ahead of a massive gig at Glasgow Green.

Rock legends Motley Crue and Def Leppard will take the stage on Thursday evening for a highly anticipated stop on their world tour.

Thousands of fans are meant to flock to the gig, prompting Glasgow Subway to urge commuters to plan ahead.

In a statement released on Twitter, a spokesperson for the public transport firm advised that the nearest station was St Enoch.

They wrote: "The system will be busier than usual so please plan ahead!

"Last train from St Enoch on the Outer Circle will be at 23:28*

"Last train from St Enoch on the Inner Circle will be at 23:30*"

We previously reported that the M74, M77, and M8 were also expected to be busier than normal.
