A council has issued a warning after a number of playparks have been destroyed by vandals.
North Lanarkshire Council has appealed directly to youths following multiple incidents of vandalism in towns across the county.
Images show climbing frames blackened by ash from being set on fire, parts of a statue ripped off and nets from a basketball court torn.
It comes after the council invested over £500,000 to build and upgrade playparks in North Lanarkshire last year.
A spokesperson said: "Playparks throughout North Lanarkshire have been vandalised in recent months.
"We're appealing to our young people to please stop this behaviour."
They added: "There have been incidents in Kilsyth, Cumbernauld, Motherwell, Airdrie, Harthill, Coatbridge and Birkenshaw.
"Last year we invested over half a million pounds creating and upgrading new and exciting play facilities for children and families to enjoy.
"Please help us protect these playparks. Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101."
