A major Glasgow road will be closed "until the end of 2024" due to works to the M8 motorway.

Phoenix Road will be shut from 12.01am on Saturday, July 22.

This is to allow the maintenance of the M8 Woodside Viaduct, between junctions 16 and 17 in the city centre.

The work, carried out by Amey on behalf of Transport Scotland, will likely last until the end of next year.

A diversion route will be in place until then.
