A Top detective has spoken out after two men admitted their involvement in a murder bid in Cumbernauld.
As the Glasgow Times reported earlier, Reece Govan, 27, and Bran Gallacher, 26, today admitted being involved in a murder bid shooting which saw an innocent dog walker struck and her pet killed.
The incident took place in a usually quiet housing development in upmarket Dullatur in Cumbernauld, Lanarkshire on January 23, 2020.
They will be sentenced at Stirling Sheriff Court next month.

Detective Superintendent Cameron Miller, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "This was a completely reckless act of criminality, and to happen in a residential street shows a total disregard for the safety of the public.
"A man was seriously injured and a woman, who was simply walking her dog, was left absolutely devastated.
"We will continue to target those involved in this sort of activity as we work to make our communities safer.
"I would like to thank the public for their support, and everyone who worked on this investigation."
