A woman has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash in Hamilton.
The 24-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital after the two-car collision on Saturday night around 11.45pm.
The incident on Carlisle Road involved a white Fiat Ducato van and a black Nissan Micra.
An investigation has been launched into the incident with officers urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to come forward.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen what happened to get in touch.
“Likewise, if you were driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam footage that could assist with our enquiries, please make contact.”
