Elderly residents in South Lanarkshire have been given support to help them get through cold weather.
A total of 15 elderly people from the Burnhill community were given cold weather packs with resources which are designed to help reduce energy and fuel costs.
The packs were funded by the Corra Foundation, The Rotary Clyde and Clyde Gateway.
Burnhill has a population of 3,300 residents and is notable for its strong Action Group which organises various activities for the community.
The council has also set out priorities for the community in its ‘Our Place Our Plan’ strategy which highlights the positive things for Burnhill which have been identified by residents.
