A busy Glasgow road has been closed both ways by emergency services due to an incident.
Police locked down the M77 motorway between junctions 1 and 2, near Mosspark and Shawlands, around 5.30pm today.
Traffic Scotland has confirmed that the closure is currently in place and urged motorists to avoid the area if possible.
An eyewitness described the scene to the Glasgow Times as a "gridlock".
UPDATE: Traffic Scotland has since confirmed on Twitter that the road has now reopened but significant delays can be expected in both directions.
