A HUGE American military aircraft was seen flying over Glasgow.
Social media was abuzz with excited planespotters who noticed the US Air Force Boeing C-17A Globemaster over Milngavie on Monday afternoon.
Global flight tracking service FlightRadar24 shows that the plane, which had been in Mildenhall on Sunday, arrived in Glasgow at around 11.10am.
It then departed the city for Oslo, Norway shortly after 2pm.
The plane was developed for the American Air Force between 1991 and 2015.
The aircraft has a wingspan of almost 52 metres and it can transport 45,360kg of freight for more than 4500 miles.
It can fly at altitudes above 35,000ft.
