A Glasgow pub has been a hit with local punters since reopening after a £220,000 investment.

The Camerons welcomed guests through the doors last Friday, September 8 after undergoing a complete transformation to its interior and exterior.

Formerly the Carnarvon, the St George's Road bar has been redecorated to elevate and modernise the space, creating a new look with fresh decor for customers.

Glasgow Times:

New furniture and a brand-new bar area have created extra space, while a seating area has been installed outside as well as new signage to greet customers.

The pub is part of the Proper Pubs division at Admiral Taverns and offers a wide range of drinks as well as a regular entertainment schedule.

Customers can watch TNT, Sky Sports and Viaplay Sports, and pub operator Reiss Williamson wants to introduce quiz nights, DJ sets and live music.

Glasgow Times:

He and his team also aim to support several community initiatives including local charity Shelter Scotland, which helps people struggling with housing or homelessness.

Reiss said: “Opening night was fantastic, it was amazing to see all our customers, old and new, coming to see what the pub has to offer!

The feedback we received from our community was amazing, and we can’t wait to see them again soon!”

Glasgow Times:

Matthew Gurney, operations director for Proper Pubs, added: “The refurbishment at the Camerons looks fantastic – the team has worked really hard to ensure it is a success for the local community.

"On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we would like to wish our community hero, Reiss, every success for the future in making the Camerons a fantastic hub of the community”.
