A road in Glasgow's Ibrox area will partially close for around two weeks.

Scottish Water is installing seven miles of new pipes to connect Glasgow's water network with Ayrshire as part of the Glasgow Resilience Project.

The new water main is being installed in the Ibrox, Mosspark, Pollok, Priesthill, Nitshill and Parkhouse areas of the city.

As part of the multi-million-pound project, the westbound lanes of Edmiston Drive, from Broomloan Road roundabout to Helen Street roundabout, will be closed so that teams can install cables for a new pumping station.

This comes into effect from Monday, October 2.

The road will be closed westbound on Edmiston Drive at the roundabout with Broomloan Road and the diversion will go down Broomloan Road – Govan Road – Golspie Street – Helen Street.

Scottish Water apologises for any disruption and thanks affected road users in advance for their patience and understanding.

The project is being delivered for Scottish Water by Caledonia Water Alliance, our alliance partner, and is expected to be completed around November 2024.
