A car was seized and a driver reported after police stopped him and discovered he allegedly had no insurance.

Road policing officers pulled over the driver on Maryhill Road in North Glasgow last night after he allegedly ignored a red light.

After bringing the car to a stop, officers discovered that he allegedly also had no insurance.

The motorist was reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

On X (formerly Twitter), the force said: "A busy late shift for Glasgow Road Policing yesterday.

"It saw a driver stopped on Maryhill Road for not obeying a red light.

"His day got worse when his car was seized as he had no licence. Report to the Procurator Fiscal."
