Two teenagers have been left seriously hurt after their motorbike collided with a car in Glasgow.

The pair, aged 18 and 19, were riding on the bike on Keppochill Road in the city's Springburn in the early hours of this morning.

They became involved in a crash with a Mercedes at around 1.55am. 

The driver of the Mercedes was not injured, but the teens were rushed to hospital to be treated for their injuries.

Officers closed the road for five hours to carry out an investigation into what happened.

The force is now urging any potential witnesses to get in touch. 

Inspector Hugh Niccolls said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances of what happened is underway.

The road was closed in both directions for 5 hours to allow investigations to take place.

"I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash-cam footage to contact us as soon as possible, you may have captured something that could assist our investigation.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 0238 of October 3, 2023.”
