999 crews raced to the city centre yesterday after a fire broke out near Glasgow Central Station.
Fire crews were alerted to the blaze at 4.54pm to reports of a bin on fire on Hope Street.
One fire truck was dispatched to the scene and crews tackled the flames.
It is unknown what caused the fire.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 4.54pm on Wednesday, 18 October to reports of a bin fire at Hope Street, Glasgow.
"Operations Control mobilised one appliance where the crew extinguished the fire.
"The crew left after ensuring the area was made safe."
