A lorry has crashed into an East End railway bridge.

The collision near Carntyne was first reported around 11.50am.

Trains are unable to cross the bridge until engineers carry out safety checks.

Police Scotland said they were not called out to the crash.

Train services running through these stations are returning to normal, but some services may still be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Commuters are advised to check the ScotRail app, website, or social media channels.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: “We’re sorry to customers who experienced disruption to their journey as a result of this, and share their frustration when these things happen.

“Anyone delayed by 30 minutes or more is entitled to compensation through our Delay Repay Guarantee. Just keep hold of your tickets and claim on the ScotRail website or mobile app.”
