An airline has added more flights from Glasgow Airport in response to 'strong demand'.

With the major sporting event Mallorca 312 taking place next year, fans are keen to fly over there to participate.

To allow as many cyclists as possible to make the trip - and to give sunseekers an extra boost - Jet2 has increased flights from Glasgow Airport.

There will now be extra services to Mallorca on Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

As well as its cycling tracks, Mallorca is known for its stunning coastal and mountain scenery and attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year.

Glasgow Times:

Company CEO Steve Heapy: “We are seeing strong demand from cycling enthusiasts wanting to participate in the Majorca 312 event and enjoy a cycling holiday, as well as from those looking for some early summer sun.

"For this reason, we have added extra capacity to the popular destination in April and given our customers exactly what they want.

"Given our cycling proposition and popularity of the Majorca 312 event, we are confident that these additional flights and holidays will prove popular for both cyclists and those seeking some early summer sun.”
