Plans have been revealed for a Christmas tree switch-on in a Glasgow community.
Volunteers at Broomhouse Community Hall are preparing to welcome visitors to the festive event in the East End community on Saturday, December 2.
As well as the Christmas tree being switched on, the event will feature a range of activities and entertainment including a brass band, carolling, Santa's Grotto and crafts.
Guests can also enjoy festive treats including hot chocolate, mince pies and toasted marshmallows as well as teas and coffees - all costing £1 each.
The Christmas tree will be located at the grass section at the bottom of Baillieston Road where the switch-on will start at 5pm
Meanwhile, activities and refreshments will be held afterwards at Broomhouse Community Hall, 2 Baillieston Road, Glasgow, G71 7SB.
A spokesperson for the Community Hall said: "This event has been organised by volunteers of the Broomhouse Community Hall and Broomhouse Community Council.
"Donations are greatly appreciated. All funds raised will be put back into organising future events for our community."
