Unique plans to install a fish and chip drive-thru in Rutherglen have been submitted to South Lanarkshire Council.
A planning application has been made to replace a fast food van currency situated on commercial property on the town’s Glasgow Road with a container serving fish and chips.
It would include a distinctive drive-thru aspect, allowing customers to collect their meal from the comfort of their cars.
There are currently 10 parking spaces available at the food van, and these spaces would be kept the same for the potential drive-thru container.
The application was received by the council on October 30 and validated on November 9.
Neighbourhood consultation began on November 13 and the deadline for determining the application is January 8.
