Emergency teams were pictured on the scene of an ongoing incident in Rutherglen.
Multiple cop vans are parked on Shawfield Drive with their blue lights flashing following a road traffic collision.
A police incident sign has been put in place and two cars are spread across the road.
Crews are inspecting the vehicles while traffic is directed away from the incident.
We previously reported that the road was closed northbound from New Rutherglen Road near Shawfield Stadium to Shawfield Road.
UPDATE: The council has issued a warning following the incident.
The force confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the crash and that one person is being reported in connection with alleged road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.45pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, we received a report of a two-vehicle crash on Rutherglen Road, Glasgow.
"One person will be reported for road traffic offences. Recovery of the vehicles is underway."
