A SEX attacker who raped two women and was physically violent to a third is facing a lengthy jail term.

Dylan Smith also made racist remarks to the one of victims who suffered at his hands.

The 27-year-old was convicted of eight charges following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

The crimes occurred between January 2013 and May 2023 mainly at a number of addresses in the city's East End.

It emerged after the verdicts that Smith already had a previous conviction for what was described as a "sexual offence".

Judge David Young KC remanded Smith, of the city's Tollcross, in custody pending sentencing next month.

Jurors heard the first woman he raped was also grabbed by the neck, choked, pulled to the ground, punched and spat on.

A separate charge stated Smith hurled "derogatory and racially abusive comments" at her.

Other attacks included him burning her on the arm with a cigarette.

Smith was also physically abusive to the second rape victim.

This terrified woman was bit, pushed, grabbed, smothered with a pillow and had a knife brandished at her.

Sick Smith further recorded them having sex without her knowledge before threatening to post the footage on a pornographic website.

The trial heard he also tried to take control of her social media accounts and keep track of where she went.

Smith was violent with the final woman which included a stone and a glass chucked at her as well as threats via Snapchat and him stalking outside places she was.

Among the offences Smith was convicted of was the rape of two of the women and engaging in a course of abusive behaviour with the other.

Judge Young told him: "There is no question that, combined, these are serious offences."

Sentencing was deferred for reports.
