They said: "We have some news.

"Six years after opening I can say that we have worked really hard and created a brand that a lot of people know. We have came runner up-for Best Chinese Takeaway in Scotland and then this year we came home with the WINNING trophy for best Asian takeaway in Scotland.

"Through the six years a lot has changed for us personally. I became a personal trainer, which I love, and off the back of our love for health and fitness we birthed Hosprep, healthy calorie controlled Chinese food.

"As you can imagine life has got very busy for us and it's with great sadness that our time at Ho’s Chinese must come to an end. We worked our last shift last weekend.

"Although we are sad, we are excited about our future as it will give us more work life balance."

The pair confirmed that the takeaway will remain in business, with the chef now taking over.

They said: "I want you to know that Ho's Chinese is here to stay. Our amazing chef is taking over and our fabulous team will still be there. The only thing that will change is that me and Ricky won’t. But, rest assured you guys will be in good hands."
