An iconic Glasgow building was demolished, following a controversial council approval.
The brass foundry in Finnieston has been destroyed to make way for a 10-storey residential development.
As the Glasgow Times reported last May, applicant Nevis Properties Ltd submitted a planning application in October 2021 and it was later approved.
Today, the site where the building stood was photographed by Glasgow Times photographer Colin Mearns.
A huge pile of rubble has remained after the demolition.

When submitted, the bid was objected to by more than 50 residents, as well as disapproved by local politicians.
Despite not being listed or part of a conservation area, they argue the brass foundry would be an important part of the city’s shipbuilding heritage.
However, the developer said the project would create significant economic benefits, adding £2m per year to the city’s economy, and more than £2.6m to the regional construction industry.
