A man was brutally attacked in front of people on Boxing Day.

The 25-year-old was assaulted within a property on Braes Avenue in Clydebank on the morning of Tuesday, December 26.

He was rushed to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which cops describe as serious.

Officers are now investigating the horrific attack, which they say happened when other people were around.

They are calling on any witnesses to get in touch.

Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “This assault happened at a time when there were people around and we are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything relating to this incident.

“We are also asking anyone who has private CCTV footage or who may have been driving in the area at the time and has dash-cam that could help with our enquiries to get in touch.”
