A man was attacked in one of the city's most popular night spots.
The 45-year-old was discovered by cops injured on Ashton Lane in the Hillhead area in the early hours of Thursday morning at 1.15am.
He was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and his condition is unknown.
The force said they are following a positive line of enquiry but they are still appealing for witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Alastair Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident."
Ashton Lane near Byres Road is one of the city's most popular streets for pubs and restaurants.
