Two people were rushed to hospital after a house fire on New Year's Day in Rutherglen.
999 crews were alerted after a property on Pinkerton Avenue went up in flames around 2.25pm on Monday, January 1.
Firefighters battled the blaze and a 37-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.
A 37-year-old man was arrested and released as the investigation continues.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a fire at a property on Pinkerton Avenue, Rutherglen, around 2.25pm on Monday, January 1, 2024.
“Emergency services attended and a 37-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary Hospital for treatment, where staff described her condition as serious.
“A 37-year-old man was arrested and released pending further enquiries.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service has been approached for comment.
