Reportedly, it collided with an animal in the air, alarming staff who decided to return to Sur Reina Sofía airport as a precaution.

The flight was due to touch down at Glasgow Airport around 7.30pm that night but due to the incident, it was delayed by four hours.

Following a checkup, passengers returned to Scotland without issues.
