Two people have been hurt after an 'incident' on a residential street.

999 crews were called to an alleged disturbance on Alice Street in Paisley at around 2am on Wednesday.

Two men, one aged 54 and one aged 41, were taken to hospital to be treated for injuries.

Cops have also arrested the pair in connection with an alleged disturbance. 

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 2am on Wednesday, January 10, to a report of a disturbance in the Alice Street area of Paisley.

“Emergency services attended and two men, one aged 54 and one aged 41, were arrested in connection and taken to hospital for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0187 of Wednesday, January 10, 2024.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call today at 2.06am to attend an incident on Alice Street in Paisley.

"We dispatched two ambulances to the scene and transported one male patient to Royal Alexandra Hospital."
