Cops are still investigating the 'unexplained' death of a man in Paisley.

We previously reported that emergency crews were called to the Stanely Reservoir shortly after midday on Friday, January 12.

The body of a man was found.

Initially, officers did not believe there to be any apparent suspicious circumstances but then revealed they were treating the death as unexplained.

Almost one week on, the force confirmed they are continuing enquiries into the man's death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 12.10pm on Friday, January 12, 2024, police were called to Stanely Reservoir, Gleniffer Road, Paisley, following the discovery of a man's body.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.  A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal”
