A popular entertainment venue near Glasgow has closed until further notice.

Topgolf Glasgow has suffered significant weather damage to the nets which form part of its outdoor golfing experience.

The damage sustained comes as Storm Isha caused severe winds and heavy rain across Glasgow on Sunday night and continues to affect the country today.

Topgolf will be closed to customers until the nets can be repaired.

Any bookings made before they reopen will be refunded to customers, and the team assured visitors they would keep them informed on when they are able to reopen.

A spokesperson said: "Topgolf Glasgow is temporarily closed following damage to our nets as a result of the strong winds experienced overnight. We will re-open once the nets have been repaired and it is safe to do so.

"If you have a reservation over the period in which we are closed, this will be refunded via the original payment method and our events team will be in touch with any bookings that have been or may be affected.

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will provide an update on our re-opening in due course."

Elsewhere, Storm Isha is causing travel disruption with Glasgow flights and trains cancelled across the board.

People are being warned to take care when venturing out.

Glasgow schools remain open, except Carmunnock Primary which has suffered from damage to the roof of the building.
