Cops discovered a person 'brandishing' a baseball bat in the middle of a busy street.
The force says they spotted a man with the bat on Neilston Road in Paisley on Saturday afternoon.
A 37-year-old man was then arrested.
He will appear in court at a later date.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland Renfrewshire and Inverclyde said: "About 1615 hours on 20th January 2024, in the Neilston Road area of Paisley, police arrested a male who was found to be brandishing a baseball bat.
"A 37 year old male will appear at court at a later date."
