A flex office operator has bought a 20,000 square foot workspace in Glasgow's Bothwell Street.

Set to open in April, the workspace named Aurora features an office accommodation with around 350 desks set to be available.

Marc Brough, chief executive officer at Cubo, said: "We are very excited to have secured what we believe is the best-in-class new Grade A space in Glasgow and look forward to launching Cubo in April this year.

"Our Edinburgh workspace continues to go from strength to strength and following openings in Manchester and Newcastle in late 2023, we see Glasgow as a critical piece in our plan to gain representation in all of the UK’s core city centres."

Developed by Forma Real Estate Fund and HFD Group, Aurora is surrounded by restaurants, bars, coffee shops, along with retail, fitness centres and hotels.

The refurbishment includes amenities such as a rooftop terrace, wellness area, fitness studio, auditorium, townhall meeting space and podcast studio.

The Glasgow workspace is the latest addition to Cubo's portfolio. The flex office operator opened its first Scottish space in Edinburgh last July.

Ben Dickins, UK head of Asset Management at Forma, said: "The integration of Cubo as the serviced office provider at Aurora provides further support to our wider occupiers to facilitate either organic growth or project space.

"The comprehensive refurbishment of Aurora and the delivery of a smart and highly sustainable office is continuing to be attractive to a wide range of corporate occupiers.

"This letting to Cubo represents our second letting and although we have advanced tenant interest in further space in the building the opportunity remains for forward thinking occupiers to join us on this journey."

There has reportedly already been significant interest from corporate businesses looking to be located in Aurora, marking what may be Cubo's most thrilling venture yet.
