The search for answers continues almost a week after a man was killed in Glasgow's West End.

The 64-year-old was hit by a bus while walking along Great Western Road near the junction with Horselethill Road.

999 crews raced to the area at around 7.30am on Saturday, January 27 but the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. 

His next of kin have been made aware of his death.

Cops are continuing to investigate what happened and they are now urging any possible witnesses to make contact with any information that could prove vital. 

Glasgow Times:

They are particularly keen to hear from the driver of a blue/grey VW Sharan or Touran taxi, which was travelling west on Great Western Road.

The driver of this vehicle may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage that could help. 

Road Policing Sergeant Scott Gourlay said: “Extensive enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.

“Think back, were you in that area that day and did you see what happened? If so, please get in touch.

“Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has died. Our officers will continue to support them.”
