Police were called to an incident at a McDonald's restaurant in Glasgow tonight.

Two cop vans were spotted on their way to the fast food eatery in the city's Govan on Thursday evening.

An eyewitness revealed to the Glasgow Times that the vehicles had their blue lights on indicating an emergency response.

The force confirmed that they had been made aware of an incident where a group of youths were causing a disturbance at the restaurant.

Once cops arrived, the group had already left and there was no more police action regarding the matter.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We were made aware of youths causing a disturbance at a restaurant on Helen Street in Glasgow around 5.45pm on Thursday, February 8.

"The group had left prior to police arriving and there was no further requirement for police action."
