A woman has been punched in the head in a late-night horror attack. 

The 39-year-old victim was outside a home when a man and woman approached her.

After the shocking assault, the pair nicked the woman's phone.

The incident occurred at around 11.35pm on Friday, February 9 on Colquhoun Drive in Alexandria. 

999 crews were called to the attack and the woman was rushed to hospital to be treated for a head injury. 

Emergency services attended and the victim was taken to hospital where she received treatment for a head injury.

Officers are looking into the attack and urging anyone who may have witnessed it to get in touch. 

Detective Sergeant Neil Allison said: “We are appealing for anyone who was in Colquhoun Drive late on Friday evening and may have noticed anything suspicious to please get in touch.

“In particular we would ask people with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area to check in case they have captured anything which could be of significance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0002 of Saturday, February 10, 2024.
