Two people have been arrested after a fire at a block of flats near Glasgow.
Emergency services including police and fire crews were alerted to the blaze at the property on Wilton Street in Coatbridge on Saturday evening.
There are not understood to have been any injuries in the incident.
Officers confirmed that a 44-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have since been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incident.
Both are expected to appear in court today.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a fire at a premises on Wilton Street, Townhead, Coatbridge, around 8.20pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024.
“A 44-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman have been arrested and charged in connection and are due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, February 12, 2024.”
